Yesterday I got my hamster, it was a very big howdy-do!
It all started when I went out to my sisters birthday and I went into the petshop with my cousin, we saw 1 Syrian, 4 Russians, A few Chinese’s, and 4 Winter whites.
They all looked really cute and I decided I would get the Syrian, so we went into the bowling arena (next door) and the woman said we would have to wait 15 minutes so me and my cousin went into the pet shop and we saw a family asking the man to take the Syrian out… he tipped the toilet roll container up and the Syrian fell out, then the Syrian started biting and scratching the man, so the woman said no thank you and asked the man could she see the Russians so he took the Russians cage down and they were the most nicest thing I had ever seen, they just sat there in his hand, so the boy bought the dark russian. So when the bowling game was over we went to get something to eat and went to the pet shop to pick the hamster, the woman recommended the Syrian but I wasn’t too keen as the man said that the stock they got from that breeder had all been very nippy, so me and my cousin decided to pick the cream (red-eyed) Russian!! I was very tempted to get the WW, but I really loved this hamster, so maybe I’ll get a WW next.
So when we got home, I put her in her cage and she started sniffing about, I gave her her wheel, 4 toilet tubes and scattered her food, I started petting her with no difficulties (she seemed to enjoy it) and when I put my hand in she started licking my fingers and nibbling them a bit, I then put her in a toilet tube and put her on my hand and she just sat there! :75:
Today while I was changing her water bottle, I managed to snap some snaps.

She’s adorable! I had a hamster once, believe it or not I was too afraid to hold them. I’m such a wimp xD.

Soo cute! I got my hamster, Meh-Meh, two summers ago. She is soo precious to me. We have breakfast together sometimes. She loves nibbling peanut butter off my finger. I could talk about how much I adore her for days. :39: :39:

we used to have a hamster, it died, it escaped out of the cage and fell down the stairs, it wasn’t nice to see a dead hamster at the bottom of the stairs.

AHHH! Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to try it out when I have an hour to spare, because that’s how long it takes anything to download on my laptop. It’s from like 2000. haha.
